One of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s aides shared:
"People think revolutions begin with injustices. They don't. A revolution begins with hope."
I have hope that by working with one family and one school district at a time, we can bring functional independence to children and adults challenged by disabilities. Together our hope will empower us to bring about crucial change.

“Tip of the Week”
Does your child exhaust you by talking non-stop?
Give your child a tape recorder and permit them to talk into the recorder. Then, help them try to take what was recorded and either act it out in a play or put it in writing. After the first few times, they should be able to do this by themselves. Some children who employ this technique end up becoming good story tellers or writers. For children unable to write, Dragon Naturally Speaking is a good option. They can talk, and see it written. Sometimes, if children like their stories, they improve them, add pictures and share them with friends or teachers.
